Lysosomes are organelles ubiquitous in most prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. They contain many acid hydrolases that take part in protein degradation in the cell. Lysosomes also contain lipases nucleases and polysaccharidases and deficiencies in some of these enzymes lead to specific lysosomal storage diseases such as Tay Sachs Gaucher Hunter disease and others. They also contribute to maintaining cellular homeostasis. Malfunctions in this organelle directly impact cell behavior and fate. Lysosomes may also be involved in other cellular processes such as Albinism and aging.

The EasySep™ Release Mouse APC Positive Selection Kit is designed to isolate cells that are labeled with APC-conjugated antibodies from mouse tissue by immunomagnetic positive selection.Desired cells are labeled with antibodies and magnetic particles, and separated without columns using an EasySep™ magnet. Unwanted cells are simply poured off, while desired cells remain in the tube. Then, bound magnetic particles are removed from the EasySep™-isolated, APC-antibody labeled cells, which are immediately available for downstream applications. Following cell isolation with this EasySep™ Release kit, antibody complexes remain bound to the cell surface and may interact with Brilliant Violet™ antibody conjugates, polyethylene glycol-modified proteins or other chemically related ligands.

HisDetector Nickel-HRP offers a fast, sensitive, single-step method for detecting recombinant His-tagged proteins. His-tagged proteins have a high affinity to nickel (Ni2+) ions. Nickel-NTA (nitrilotriacetic acid) conjugated to horeseradish peroxidase (HRP) will therefore bind directly to the His-tag, eliminating the need for primary and secondary antibodies. This results in assay simplification and reduced detection times. Nickel-HRP offers excellent sensitivity and low background in applications such as Western Blotting (see KPL Application Note). Product may also be used in other application (ELISA, immunohistochemistry, etc.) where direct detection of His-tagged proteins is required. Nickel-HRP is optimized for use with both chemiluminescent and colorimetric substrates.
